Winter Night

A dreamy expression
blew suddenly free
cresting in waves
from the old whispering wife

The candles flicker
to trim the long night
and sweep the thick darkness
of this frozen earth

The blanket stretched so taut
like the sorrow of time’s passing
tossed by a gentle breeze from the west
chasing the swelling pink from the east

Untitled

Finding me, the amnesiac,
at the graveside
is not common.

Today,
nostalgia is the succor-
of fun, of laughter, of joy,
of a place that I called my own.

The resident ghost,
invisible,
has a burden
in his own paradise.

Am I a friend
or an enemy?

He stares through the concrete
with chagrin.
Why does he have to come?”

Hope

Some call it,
light at the end of the tunnel.

Rock Garden

I try to understand
the heart of a rock
so mean
so cold
so tough
...
I try to understand
my heart for their gardens
so kind
so warm
so soft
...
I try to calm
the heart of every human
so brittle
so scared
so tired

Do Not Leave

My beg
to you
Almighty,
use whatever power
you have,
do not,
please
do not,
let her go
tonight.

The End

Is there light at the end of the tunnel?
Is there an end to this busy schedule?
Does the mean justify the end?

Shades and Shapes

What is art?
What is art and what is not?
Do we need art?
Can I make a living with art?

Let it bee!

I went for the water lilies
but they stopped blooming.
I did not waste my time.
I found a different subject.
As in life,
let it be!

What if my eyes can only see black and white today?

Happy Feet

In this journey of life,
making the feet happy is important.
Take time...

Childhood

We all have those years.
The world is our playground.
The days when knowing less is a bliss.
The days when we can give up and cry
and be comforted...
and it is ok.

Never A Dull Moment

If this is not love,
I do not know what it is?

Beauty and Perfection

It is the beauty and perfection of this nature
that prompts me think that big question again...
Who is the creator?
How did he or she make this?

Always

It is always
a pleasure
to watch the lily
in the pond.
From its closed fist,
to open,
to close,
I sense
a friendly hello.

Contrast

The cold stone reflects the softness
of the green,
just like the bad
reflecting the good,
the dirt showing
the clean,
the loud pointing out
the silence...

Survival

We all learn to survive,
give us a space
and we can make our own little world.

Using a half smile to change my mood.
change your face
change your feel
change your life...

The Different World

How does it feel to be a snail?
Clinging to a piece of leaf for life...
Does the world look bigger?
or does it look smaller?

Ballerina

She stood by the lily pad
like the dancer on her leg,
mesmerizing
my index finger,
tapping
to the music of the pond.

Water Lily

Today,
I felt the urge to bring my camera to church.
I did not expect to find this pond,
just like any surprises in life.
The bloom was perfect,
the light was perfect,
life
can be perfect,
sometimes,
isn't it?

The Beginning and The End

Sometimes I feel sorrow
with the setting of the sun,
as if I do not want
to lose something that is dear,
even if I know
the same sun will rise again
tomorrow
or
is it really
the same sun?

Yellow

There are many interesting subjects around us,
if we look hard enough.
A Sunday afternoon stuck in the middle of a hot summer day.
This is not a bad catch.

Valley of Fire

How do those vegetations grow on a land burned by lava?
I guess we all have our own niche.

Witness

If he can talk,
what can he tell us about the past?
How would he react to the present?
Or
does he care?

Dancing of the Lights

Like little commas
punctuating the night dark poem.
Searching for the lost feel,
in life,
as in dream.

Good Morning

Another way to look at the sunrise.
An unexpected catch...

Farming

Somewhere in the eastern part
of the island of Taiwan
is a farming community.
Cleanliness
is not of top most importance.
They rely on the sky for their livelihood.
The weight of the crop
can knock off the weight
on their shoulders.
Such is life.
I did not leave
empty handed
that day.

Beauty

The love for beauty is a human nature.
We are willing to spend money and time to achive that.
It is the source of many business ideas...

Wooden Sphere

An art is an art is an art.
It was quite refreshing to visit places and see pieces of art like this.
Life is an art.
We are all artists.
How should I "art" this day?

There is something about this view that caught my attention.
I do not know what.
The three of them just sit perfectly again the big window.
It touches my heart in certain way.

Wet

I have to admit,
I am not young anymore.
Traveling across the Pacific ocean has become a big challenge.
I know that the trip was worthwhile,
just tasting the hometown food is worth all the hassle.
We were greeted by afternoon thunderstorms.
I reminded myself,
this too shall pass.
a view of Taipei 101,
the tallest building in Taiwan,

Risk

From time to time,
I do take a risk,
like this shot,
steering wheel on my left hand,
camera on my right hand.
I know,
I hear you.
Sometimes it is called,
STUPIDITY.

The Call of the Volcano

I have been wondering,
how does it feel to stand near the volcano
which borders the west of town.
I see it everyday,
but never up close.
Today, I drove up and discover,
another view,
another land,
another world.

A Day at the Beach

I call it "the trigger itch".
Today, I brought my camera for an early morning walk.
What a pleasant surprise!
They are lovely!

Discovery

This is not as precious as a carving on the ancient cave.
Humans are humans.
We have an urge to discover and document.
Whether it is 10,000BC or 2007 AD,
we want to record something to remember...

Mix

Pottery was a fun experience.
It is a ligitimate way to play mud.
I have always been intriqued by that spinning wheel.
I love the touch of a spinning clay.
Wet and soft,
I need to treat it with gentleness,
just the way I want other people to treat me.
