Birdy Igloo

Las Vegas, Nevada

"Not everything that glistens is gold". I collected some words after staying there for 2 days: Lust, greed, excite, numb, booze, gamble, lights, crowd, noise, rude, technicolor, class, lost, escape, win, loss, sinful, morality, judgement, fame, money, soul, magic, fool.Posted by Picasa

A Day to Remember Birth

I can't believe it is 45 years. Today, I learned one lesson. The pleasures in life does not need to be expensive. An office with caring coworkers, a Kodak moment with a patient who shares the same birthday, a simple warming homemade soup from a loving wife, a phone call from my pre-teen son who greeted me "Happy Birthday!" Yes, they all touched the deepest part of my heart.

Full Moon

I was chasing the moon the other day, sort of playing a hide and seek. I finally reached home and found my camera. Gotcha! Posted by Picasa

Waiting

At the flight deck,
she patiently watch,
for the "fly in",
as they call it.

Is there more in life,
than watching,
for a moment,
to call

memory.

Crane at Dusk

A far mountain range
A lone leafless tree
A tired hungry crane
feeding

A time to rest
A time to reflect
A time to resist

Motionless

The turtle was motionless in that pond, for as long as I can remember. The sunflower was motionless in the air, for as long as I can remember. They remind me to sit, to watch my breath, to remember that I am part of this nature. Posted by Picasa

Dream

It was always a dream to play. Now that I married a piano player, I have all the opportunities. Am I playing? No. Excuses, excuses. Posted by Picasa

Ordinary

What is ordinary? It depends on which angle you capture it. Try it with life. It works. Posted by Picasa

The Drummer

I want to be just like this drummer boy. Full of energy, enjoying the moment. Ah, what a life! Posted by Picasa

Sleeping Dragon

It is never too boring to watch this mountain guarding the east side of Albuqueruque. A good Feng Shui. Posted by Picasa

Wild Wild Flowers

A wet summer brings in a ton of wild flowers and allergy symptoms. But having these wild flowers in view is worth all those sneezing. Yes, nothing is free in life.

Sunset Blues

My photography teacher said that the first rule in photography is: have your camera ready! I followed her advice and brought my camera to the golf course. I got a glimpse of this sunset as we were playing the 18th hole. I guess life is the same. Be ready. You never know. Anything can happen. When you are ready, you jump in and start a new life, or a better life.

Thrill

This is the modern day adrenaline rush. I wonder what would that be in the stone age? Meeting a tiger on your way home?

Survival

On certain days, this is how I feel like, hanging at the edge of the cliff.

Fish Bone

The catch of the day was not this fallen tree trunk. It was a herd of Elk about 50 yards to the right of this tree. With my tiny digital camera, I was not able to feast on capturing images of those lovely animals. I settled for this "fish bone" in front of me. A good souvenir from this summer.

Spectator

We are all spectators in life. The problem is, we can see other people's drama but not our own.

An Opening

Someone said that the eyes are the window to our soul. I forgot the details about it. This opening of a hot spring is probably a window to this earth where we live in. If we don't take good care, this earth will erupt, and the whole civilization will end. Posted by Picasa
