Fire is a double edged sword. It can warm us up in the middle of winter. It can also cause a massive destruction. But somehow if I change the way I look at things, after a destruction, there can still be simplicity, beauty and peace. Yellowstone is a good example. 
At 9,000 ft elevation, I was catching my breath while climbing a short hill. A glimpse of these dead trees reminded me about our limited lifespan. Another way to remind myself to be present and enjoy each moment.
"To Galaxy and beyond..." Life on earth is not too different from space travel. We are heading into the unknown. Both exciting and scary.
Speed and blur, that is a good description of our modern day life.
I enjoy this morning hours by myself, just like this old and burned tree trunk in the middle of the hot spring. A sign of aging? Maybe. At middle age, I savor it.
I noticed recently that my angry thoughts have been pouring out like this tons of falling water. It can be destructive. I am watching it and releasing it.
But if we frame it from a different perspective, it can be beautiful.
This valley/canyon was carved by the flow of a hot lava from the volcanic eruption.
Every morning is a new beginning; for adventure, for self care, for self affirmation. Life should be as beautiful as this morning colors...
It has been awhile. I had to go into hibernation not because I wanted. It is great to be back!
